MARCO BOSQUEZ, M.D.

Dr. Marco Bosquez is our Medical Director. He specializes in the non-surgical treatment of sports injuries, fractures, muscle and joint pain, and many other orthopedic conditions. Patient education regarding biomechanics and anatomy is integral to his treatment philosophy. He makes it a point to help his patients fully understand their condition or injury so they may help facilitate their own recovery with the use of physician guided physical therapy or modification of their exercise routine. He also enjoys helping patients with diet and exercise counseling.

Dr. Bosquez obtained his MD at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas. Dr. Bosquez is a fellow of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and was awarded first place at the group’s 2002 national meeting for his research poster detailing a potentially fatal sodium imbalance seen among marathon runners. In addition to his practice at Orthopaedic Associates of Central Texas, he serves as a consulting physician for the University of Texas Men�s and Women’s Intercollegiate Athletics programs. He is the Medical Director for the Danskin Austin Women’s Triathlon, as well as team physician for two local high schools.

During his leisure time Dr. Bosquez enjoys Austin’s local attractions and restaurants. He swims, rides road and mountain bikes, and runs. He feels it is important to promote an active, healthy lifestyle by being an example for his patients. Dr. Bosquez and his wife, Gretchen, have four children.

Erin McCollough M.S. CCC-SLP

I am passionate about communication! The American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) cites communication as a fundamental human right and I completely concur. When people think ‘communication’, the act of speaking usually comes to mind. And while talking is a vital communication tool, I am reminded daily in this profession that communication goes well beyond just talking. I am blessed and excited to be in a field and facility that enables me to work with my clients, their families, caregivers, and friends to optimize all communication skills. I have a ‘never say never’ attitude about anyone’s potential to communicate, as we ALL have preferences, thoughts, requests, and opinions to share.

Working at Reavis Rehabilitation and Wellness Center facilitates and encourages holistic therapy and cross-disciplinary care. I can honestly say that I love my career! Treating patients in conjunction with physical, occupational, aquatic, and recreational therapists is exciting, dynamic, and ensures the best patient care. I have a special love for the pediatric population, and within our department, we are lucky enough to treat babies through teenagers as we help them on their way to realizing their goals. Within my years of practice, I continue to be awed as children discover communication connections, find their voices, and begin to engage with the world.

I’m a Texas girl through and through! Outside of Reavis, I enjoy anything in the out of doors, from motorcycling, camping, hiking, or simply feeling the grass under my feet. My time with nature is enhanced without measure by the companionship of my beautiful Brittany, Aine’ (‘Ahn-ya’). She is currently in training and will hopefully have all the ‘right stuff’ to become a Certified Therapy Dog. I also love living in Austin and take full advantage of all of the music, festivals, and fun the city has to offer.
