Come join the new Daffodil Dolls

Fun, Food & Fellowship will be the order of our gatherings. Once a month on the 1st Wednesday we will meet at the Baca Center or another location for fun and fellowship. Then we will also meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month for fabulous food and fellowship at all sorts of restaurants and cafes. We want to gather together to lift each other up, have fun and get to know one another.

Our gatherings will be about taking care of ourselves, expanding our horizons and learning to enjoy life each day as we gracefully glide into our Golden Years.

We do want to remember that as a Daffodil Doll, we represent the Baca Center and Round Rock. We want to remember that manners are always in order, we are ladies and ladies should be courteous and gracious to all we meet.

If you want to be a part of a gathering of ladies that believe life is to be enjoyed and lived to the fullest with friends, then the Baca Center Daffodil Dolls just might be the group for you!

All that is required is an active Baca Center Membership and an attitude for fun! First time guests are free, after the 1st visit attendees are required to obtain a Baca Center Membership or pay the $1 walk-in fee.

Therapist Spotlight

Trisha Wade, PT, DPT

I grew up in McMinnville, Oregon, but I have lived in a variety of places for both school and work, including: California, Washington, Colorado, and Pennsylvania. I moved to Austin in 2008 and cannot imagine living anywhere else. Austin is great because it combines all of my favorite attributes from the previous cities I have lived into one truly unique city.

Working as a Physical Therapist is actually my second career. Before I returned to school for Physical Therapy in 2005, I worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the training rooms at Central Washington University and The Colorado College. During this time I worked with a variety of sports teams including: soccer, basketball, softball, volleyball, football, and track & field. I also spent a season as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Erie Freeze arena football team in Erie, Pennsylvania.

After working for several years with intercollegiate athletes I wanted to further my education and decided to return to school to become a Physical Therapist. During my final clinical rotation for school I came to Austin for twelve weeks to work at a pediatric clinic. While there I fell in love with both Austin and working in pediatrics. Although I work with a variety of patients, pediatrics is my first love. I have experience working with children of all ages, birth to eighteen years and a variety of diagnoses including: torticollis, plagiocephaly, developmental delay, cystic fibrosis, autism, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and Down syndrome, just to name a few. I also have over three years of aquatic therapy experience and find that it’s a great adjunct therapy for children, they find movement in the heated pool very freeing and have a fun time splashing around as well.

In my free time I enjoy cycling, training for triathlons, traveling, ballet, and exploring all Austin and the surrounding hill country has to offer.
